Water Division


The City of Temple Terrace currently has two water treatment plants. Water is supplied to the treatment plants via 10 wells. Treatment includes aeration, multi-media filtration, lime softening, fluoridation, chlorination, and corrosion-control additives. Treatment operations are monitored 24 hours a day by state certified water treatment plant operators.


The Water Division is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of water mains and installation of all water meters within its service area.


Typical maintenance services provided are:

  • High consumption investigation and resolution
  • Leak repair on city-owned water mains and service lines
  • Low water pressure testing
  • Meter shut-off valve repair / replacement
  • Meter testing, repair and / or replacement
  • Turn-off and turn-on of water supply


Sewer Division

The Public Works Department Sewer Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the sewer mains that transmit all wastewater to the lift (pump) stations.


This division is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of the 31 city-owned and operated lift stations. The city's wastewater is transmitted to the City of Tampa Regional Wastewater Plant via lift stations.
